The color transitions are so cool on some of these mystery spools. some times you get color transitions, or pulses of 2 different shades of the same color. I've been pleased with every roll I've gotten. They print well and have the best bed adhesion of many of the brands I tried.
Purchased over a dozen of these mystery spool rolls. They are transition rolls (don’t expect them to be pretty colour combos, but occasionally you’ll get some nice ones) and off-colour. I do a lot of painting of projects so it works perfect for that if I don’t like a colour.
I got a roll of white to grey pla. The color transition a bit tough to notice, but I wasn't bothered because I knew a surprise roll could have been anything. It actually worked out great because I needed more white to print a birdhouse. I didn't need to dry the filament beforehand and it printed with absolutely no stringing throughout a 50+ hours print. I didn't even need to use my enclosure! Bed adhesion was good, it takes paint really well, and the color was pretty solid and vivid. It's also quite a bit more sturdy than other pla I've bought elsewhere. Looking forward to seeing even more colors in the shop.
I ordered a couple rolls and they were delivered same day. I’ve used the PLA Filament now on about 6 prints on my Ender 3 and it has extruded very well and made for excellent prints. I will be buying from these guys again they’re great and local.
works perfect for test prints or if i was going to paint the print afterwards. but the colours on their own are great too.
We chose to tackle some of the greatest flaws we found in the business after 6 years of working with 3D printing. These problems included needless plastic waste from plastic spools, low quality filaments on the market, and the carbon footprint of shipping thousands of kilograms of filament from China to Canada. Our solution to these issues was to become Alberta's first 3D printing filament manufacturer, as well as the first to offer cardboard spools to support industry sustainability.
