Canadian Filaments Premium PLA filaments are extruded in Canada using high-grade Nature Works 4043D PLA resin derived from corn, manufactured in North America and biodegradable in an industrial setting. The filament is 1.75mm in diameter with a material tolerance of +-0.03mm and is sold on 1kg spools made of strong and dust-free chipboard spools.

We chose to tackle some of the greatest flaws we found in the business after 6 years of working with 3D printing. These problems included needless plastic waste from plastic spools, low quality filaments on the market, and the carbon footprint of shipping thousands of kilograms of filament from China to Canada. Our solution to these issues was to become Alberta's first 3D printing filament manufacturer, as well as the first to offer cardboard spools to support industry sustainability.
